I made this clay heart box as a maquette for another crafting project at year ago. When I was making piece I had no intention of firing piece. Because of this I have to imagine that the piece has quite a lot of bubbles in it, guaranteeing that it will explode when heated in a furnace. I found it hard to throw away, as I am quite pleased as to how the piece came out. However with the piece being so fragile and not having a proper place to store it, I decided to make a loge term art project out of it.
I placed the piece at the foot of my orange tree, leaving the piece exposed to the elements. The idea is to let the heart slowly break down over a long period of time. Depression Obsession
